This month is nearly over and what a month it has been. I can’t remember the last time a month went by so quickly. This is good. This means I haven’t been in the depths of my depression. I have been out and about and more active, and I have been busy doing things I enjoy. Most definitely that is a reason to celebrate! However, there is something else.
Today I am celebrating this month of blogging.
Most of you know I have been actively and consistently writing and posting every single day in the month of August. On the 1st of this month, I took on the 30-Day Blogging Challenge with the #Arrows.
By doing this, I have received emails every day outlining a new “lesson” with instructions to follow. This has given me an opportunity to learn far more in a much shorter amount of time than if I had tried to do this on my own. So, I want to take a look back at my success.
My top five posts based on the number of views:
10 Ways to Get UN-depressed (99 views, 18 comments, 34 shares): Based on my own 30+ year battle with clinical and chronic depression, this is a list of non-medication options I have found effective.
Depression: Give Yourself A Break (42 views, 13 comments, 22 shares): This post is very similar to the one above. However, in this post, I discuss how to handle those occasional days when you’re feeling down.
And Finally…Silence Returns (42 views, 18 comments, 21 shares): I had experienced a very “loud” day and decided to blog about the sounds I enjoy that help me relax. This post seemed to resonate well with many of my viewers!
Life Lessons From Duke (28 views, 9 comments, 12 shares): Duke is my canine companion and furbaby. I believe there is so much to be learned about life from our pets. Here I shared 7 meaningful self-reflections.
After 17 Days in Rio (27 views, 13 comments, 11 shares): A very personal reflection on this summer’s Olympic games. I could have written an entire book about what I personally came away with from those 17 days in Rio. But, I shared the ones that came to mind first.
This may not seem like much, but…
this is huge to me. I know there are many bloggers who have 100 times the results I have seen and that’s OK. But, for an extreme beginner and having only posted a total of 29 days thus far,
Today, I am celebrating.
Thank you to everyone who has visited my blog thus far, to those who have taken the time to comment and especially to those who have shared. Mostly, thank you for taking the time to read my posts.
I hope you will follow me as I continue on this blogging journey.
